Finally!

I am just now getting around to posting pictures of the basement in its finished state. We moved in officially a couple of weeks ago, but I just took the pictures to prove it! Obviously we are living in the space, so its not as pristine as it once was! We love it. It is so nice to have a family room and a toy room, not to mention the extra FULL bath and the fact that it nearly doubled our living space from 830 sq ft to about 1400 or so. Dan worked so hard on it. It was a pain at times, but now that its done, it is all worth it!

The top pic is the bathroom, it is sort of a long rectangle so I couldn't take a very good photo. The vanity is right inside to your right and the toilet is next to that, then the tub/shower is across from the toilet. We have a towel storage shelf in there as well.

The family room is the best space, the tv and entertainment center are in the far corner as you come down the stairs, and the couch wraps around and cuts the space in half. The other half is the office area and overflow toy area.

The toy room was so much fun to design. It's not totally done yet, though the kids play in it daily. We hung low shelves for a kitchen play area and I drew burners on one shelf and Dan screwed knobs down (they actually turn!) Tiel and Claude stocked it with play food so the girls play kitchen and restaurant a lot. We got a few pieces of kids furniture at IKEA so that brightens up the space and provides some seating/table/storage space for the girls. They have a blast in it. We hung cupboards on the wall to store art supplies, and Dan mounted a under-cabinet CD/Radio there as well. Eden likes to dress up like a ballerina and dance!
