We just got Dish TV and since this is the first time we've ever purchased "cable" of any kind...we are all pretty excited. Eden's favorite is a show called Handy Manny--a Latin American repairman fixes things in his neighborhood with the help of a boxful of trusty tools with clever names (Stretch is the tape measure, and the Phillips screw driver is Felipe). It is a really cute show. The main character is voiced by Wilmer Valderama of That 70's Show fame...such a cute accent. I guess it may be more than Eden's fave...
We introduced a system called "TV sticks" as a way for her to understand how much TV she is watching and how much she is allowed. Each stick is worth one show and she gets four in a day, so she can use them up as she chooses as long as there isn't another thing she should be doing. She can save them up for movies too. When she wants to cash one in, she moves it from an envelope to a cup (both hanging on the door) and she can tell easily how many she has left. It works great!
